Cycling in Japan

From one of our Vancouver friends:

I am a Vancouver cycling enthusiast that runs an annual cycling tour to Japan each fall. I am reaching out to you to see if there would be any interest among your club members to join this year’s tour. Japan is a relatively unknown but amazing destination for cycle touring with roads that rival Europe. I consider it a cycling paradise with scenic routes, marvellous cuisine and a unique culture. Please visit my web site to see the photos and read the testimonials of last year’s happy participants, all of whom were from local Vancouver cycling clubs.

If you’ve ever thought about discovering the wonders of Japan by bike, this is an opportunity to do so at a very attractive cost.

I can be available to answer any questions and I hope some of you can join me in Japan!

Kind regards,

Jim

Wednesday Rides Starting April 11

Please note that “Joyce’s Ride” is starting this week Wednesday, April 11.

We leave the parking lot in front of Kelowna Cycle at 5pm for an easy 30-35km ride through the hills of East Kelowna. Coffee afterwards.

Starting the season??

Snow is melting and dirt is being cleared off the roads. Are we ready to ride? The Century Ride is coming up soon!

I was asked to post a 10am start time for the Sunday ride, starting April 15, whenever the weather is good enough. I won’t be here for the next 3 weekends but would love to hear how the season start is going.

As in previous years, please email me if you want something posted for any group rides or special rides you may be planning.

Also enjoy this April’s Fool’s video for a bike horn … not a bad idea!
