Hike for Friday – August 6

We will be meeting for a walk to the famous “ovens” on Friday morning at 8am at the Hollywood Road parking lot for the upper Greenway (click here).

First it’s flat, then a few bumps. If the air quality is 5 or below, we will go!

HEAT WAVE

There is a heat warning issued by Environment Canada for this weekend and coming week.

When out riding, cyclists should properly prepare for riding in the heat by dressing appropriately, taking plenty of fluids, considering a shorter and/or easier route and applying sunscreen on areas exposed to the sun.

The temperatures have shot up quickly over the last few days.  Please be mindful of the sun and the heat!

Friday June 4 – Hike

Hike for the week

Friday, June 4, to Lost Lake in Myra Bellevue Park. Starting time is 9am in the main parking lot.

It’s a 10.5km loop as per the picture below. The top picture wasn’t taken on that loop but the hike does have lovely views of the city and beyond. Well-groomed trail, nothing technical, only a few short steep sections. And on Friday it won’t be as hot (24C max) so the temperature should be just fine. Hope you can join!

Armstrong was Awesome!

Below a few pictures from the gorgeous Armstrong ride on Saturday and Friday’s hike!
