This is a reminder to all Killer Beez and their better halve’s about the Un-Birthday Party celebration being held this Thursday, August 15th, starting at 6:30 pm. It has an Alice in Wonderland theme and is being held at the home of Dale and Mark Fromberg. Everyone is welcome. No need to RSVP. Bring your own beverage and a hat of some kind (Mad Hatter). Time Change for Killer Beez Group Rides
Good new for the the late risers (Bunny, etc). All Killer Beez group rides will now start at 9 AM, effective immediately. The heat wave looks to be over so why not catch a few extra zzzzz.
Also a reminder that the Almost Osoyoos Group Ride (also known as the Oliver Group Ride) is on this Sunday (August 11th). See the July 25 post for the complete details on the ride. Hope to see you there.
Announcing the Almost Osoyoos Ride
It’s time we did the popular Almost Osoyoos Group Ride (also known as the Oliver Group Ride) which passes through Oliver and almost reaches Osoyoos. Click here for a route map.
This ride will take place on Sunday, August 11th and start from Skaha Lake Park in Penticton at 9 AM sharp. Click here for the starting location.
Carpooling will be available from Starbucks in Westbank between 7:30 and 7:45 AM on Sunday, August 11th. Be aware of potential delays at the slide north of Summerland. Click here for the carpooling location.
This ride is 98 km in total length with 702 m of elevation. Approximately 30 km of the route is along Hwy 97. This ride will not be supported so please prepare accordingly and use utmost caution.
8 AM Start Time for Killer Beez Group Rides
Due to the prolonged heat wave, all Killer Beez Group Rides (except the Friday Group Ride) will start at 8 AM effective immediately. This starting time will continue until further notice.

Early Oyama Group Ride Available This Sunday
An early group ride to Oyama is available this Sunday, July 14th. The ride will start at 7:30 AM sharp from the Dickson Road Bean Scene. Join if you are interested in a longer ride and want to beat the heat.
NOTE: The regularly scheduled, weekly, Killer Beez Sunday ride will still start at 9 AM for those people that hate to get up early.
Summerland Group Ride This Friday
Instead of his regular Friday group ride, Michael Malkowski will be leading a group ride in Summerland this Friday, July 12th. The ride will start at 9 AM sharp from the parking lot of Summerland Middle School on Kelly Ave. Click here for a map of the starting location.

NOTE: According to DriveBC there may be a 15 minute delay at the landslide between Callan Road and North Beach Road.
Start Time Change for Wednesday Group Ride
Due to the current heat wave, the start time for the Wednesday Group Ride will change to 9 am from 10:30 am. This is effective immediately and will be in effect until further notice.

This is a reminder about the Killer Beez Armstrong Group Ride that is scheduled for this coming Sunday, July 7th. The ride will start from Memorial Park in Armstrong at 9 AM sharp. Click here for a map of the starting location.

The Armstrong / Enderby Ride
It’s time to do one of our favourite group rides – the Armstrong / Enderby Ride. Unlike the Okanagan Shuswap Century Ride, the Armstrong / Enderby Ride proceeds along scenic, country roads on the East side of Hwy 97 from Armstrong to Enderby and Grindrod where we stop at Farmer John’s for an ice cream break before climbing Grandview Bench Hill. We then return to Armstrong via Deep Creek Road. The route is approximately 77 km in length with about 840 m of climbing.
The Armstrong / Enderby Group Ride will be held on Sunday, July 7th and will start at 9 AM sharp from Memorial Park in Armstrong. Carpooling will be available from the Leckie Road parking lot of Mission Creek Park between 7:30 AM to 7:45 AM. The ride will include a support vehicle.
