Saturday Killer Beez Hike – Spion Kop

This coming Saturday (November 25th), the Beez will hike Spion Kop in Lake Country.  The hike will start at 9 AM sharp from the trail head located on Old Mission Road (turn left onto Ponderosa Drive off the Pelmewash Parkway and then right onto Old Mission Road).  Click here for a map.   Those wishing to car pool can meet at Mission Creek Park (Leckie / Springfield entrance) at 8:15 AM latest.  From the summit of Spion Kop you will be able to see 5 lakes: Okanagan, Kalamalka, Wood,  Swan and Duck – a truly amazing sight and worth the climb.

The Killer Beez 2023 hiking season is well under way.  Here are some pictures from our recent hikes (thanks to Geoff):

Myra Bellevue Hike on Saturday

This Saturday (November 18th) we will be hiking the trails in Myra Bellevue Provincial Park again (alias Crawford, South Slopes, etc.).  We were going to do Spion Kop in Lake Country, but our guide, Graham, is unavailable.  We’ll do it another day.  The hike will start at 9:00 sharp from the main parking lot accessed from Steward Road East.  Click here for the starting location.

The weather looks good.  Hope to see you there.

As per Killer Beez party tradition, everyone attending is asked to to bring an appie and their favourite beverage plus their significant other, of course.

It’s about time we had a party.  See you there.
