Wednesday Rides Starting April 11
Please note that “Joyce’s Ride” is starting this week Wednesday, April 11.
We leave the parking lot in front of Kelowna Cycle at 5pm for an easy 30-35km ride through the hills of East Kelowna. Coffee afterwards.
Westside Ride Starts
The weather forecast is looking ok for Friday April 13. So we could start the Westside Friday ride at 10am (for now) from Starbucks.
So, weather permitting see you Friday for a nice ride.

Starting the season??
Snow is melting and dirt is being cleared off the roads. Are we ready to ride? The Century Ride is coming up soon!
I was asked to post a 10am start time for the Sunday ride, starting April 15, whenever the weather is good enough. I won’t be here for the next 3 weekends but would love to hear how the season start is going.
As in previous years, please email me if you want something posted for any group rides or special rides you may be planning.

Cycling Documentary
“Why we Cycle” Kelowna Premiere
Join us at The Rotary Centre for the Arts on May 9 for a screening of the Dutch documentary film Why We Cycle that Modacity is bringing to Kelowna. Following the screening will be a panel discussion featuring local business leaders, politicians, bike advocates, and Mayor Colin Basran. Exploring the habits and needs of cyclists through a unique perspective, it is sure to be an eye-opening film for bike and car commuters alike. This presentation will look at ways to be faster on the bike. In particular we will focus on the physiology of cycling related to VO2max, lactate threshold and cycling economy. Training with power, strength and core training will be topics covered in detail.
The presentation is free and open to everyone but pre-registration is required.

New start time for Sunday ride
After several glasses of wine 🙂 we all agreed to move the start time for the Sunday ride to 10am, starting October 15!
