On Friday, June 14 (weather permitting ) we will go on a different ride!
We will meet at 8:00am at the West Kelowna Starbucks for car pooling,
or at 9:00am in Penticton at Skaha Lake Park (Cypress St.).
The ride will start at 9:00am. It will be about 98K.
This is the ride: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/14433149
Hope to see you there.

The First Annual Killer Beez Road Trip (FAKBRT) was a smashing success! Thanks to Mike and the other committees 😉 for all the hard work. We saw breathtaking scenery, road many km’s in Washington’s Methow Valley and replenished with BBQ, beer, pizza and the outstanding breakfast at the Chewuch Inn. Besides our Kelowna crew we had “Guest Beez” from Alaska and Vancouver join us! Have a look at the pictures and put this on your calendar for next year!
Saturday May 18: Meet at Kelowna Cycle at 9am for a ride if the weather is good! If enough people are interested throughout the summer, we will make this a regular ride for Saturdays.
Sunday May 19: Regular ride now starts at 9am. If it’s rainy, come for coffee.
It is finally warmer!
For this week (May 10) we will leave the start time at 10:00 am.
Starting next Friday (May 17), the start time is 09:00 am.
Have fun riding.
Michael
The consensus after yesterday’s ride was to switch to the earlier start time two weeks from now. So starting on May 19, we will be leaving the Bean Scene on Dickson at 9am!

There was some talk about these three articles about cyclists & drivers, published by a local lawyer on Castanet. Have a read and comment if you like!

With enough daylight to allow cycling late afternoon, we are now starting one of our weekly favourites: the Wednesday ride aka JOYCE’s Ride! Until Joyce is fully recovered, we will have to keep this going without her but in the meantime, meet at 5pm in front of Kelowna Cycle on Pandosy Street.
The ride is usually 35km and will get us back to the coffee shop around 6:40pm or so! Social, fun ride, nobody gets dropped. It really is all about the coffee (tea, water etc.) after 😏
The route was scouted and has some slight modifications right now, due to ongoing construction in East Kelowna. See picture!
From Michael:
It is time to start the Friday ride in West Kelowna. Weather permitting we will start at 10am for now. As usual, from Starbucks (Louie Drive). Hope to see you there.
