As it is getting warmer …
… remember to pay close attention to your hydration and nutrition on the bike. I have made the mistake myself, thinking it’s “only” going to be a 2 or 3 hour ride, and I could “make do” with a bit of water. Full-blown bonks are no fun! I have also found that I need plenty of salt and electrolytes on long warm rides – though everybody is different when it comes to sweating. Here are a few resources with more details:

Reminders for rides
Regular weekly KillerBeez rides:
- Sundays leaving 9am sharp from the Bean Scene Headquarters on Dickson road (opposite the first 3 Landmark buildings). Distance usually 60-70km
- Saturdays leaving at 9:15am from Kelowna Cycle on Pandosy. Distance usually 45-50km.
- Wednesdays leaving at 5pm from Kelowna Cycle on Pandosy. Distance usually 35-40km. Social ride. Smell the flowers, chat over coffee after.
