Healthy Food Option

This might not be directly cycling related but falls into the general fit-healthy category. Personally, I was quite excited to see that the only vegetarian restaurant in Kelowna, LAKE TAI (previously on Pandosy, now the big SOPA construction site) has reopened on 1958 Kirschner Road. The food is as excellent as before (the owner cooked for the rich and famous in Taiwan before moving to Canada), has interesting mock meat options (sweet & sour, veggie steak, etc), the service is friendly and fast, and the prices very reasonable. It’s a healthy and yummy option for a nice dinner – expect to spend about $30 for two people. If you try it for the first time, let me know what you think!

Get ready for the 2012 season …

I found this article on hill climbs and thought I post it here to inspire you to dust off the bike and get ready for the outdoor cycling season (aren’t you tired of spinning indoors??): Outside Magazine Article

With the temperatures getting a lot warmer, I imagine more and more people showing up for the Sunday Beez rides now … 10am downtown at the Bean Scene! Still some snow left for us “diehard” xc skiers :)

Pictures Added

Some select snapshots of our three-day adventure during the Golden Triangle 2011 are now posted in the Gallery. Spectacular scenery. And yes, lots of food (you guessed from the pictures?) :)

I have added a “Classifieds” section to the Killer Beez blog. If you would like to post an ad, looking to buy or sell anything related to cycling, please send your post as a “comment” to the original post in the Classifieds section (“New Feature”).
