Despite some initial concern about rain, we were blessed with good weather on our Memorial Ride for Bob Perra. 19 riders in total participated, indicating how well Bob was liked by our cycling community. The ride, a 70 km out and back route from Lumby to Mabel Lake, was one of Bob’s favourites and was thoroughly enjoyed by all riders.
After the ride we had lunch at Alexander’s Pub in Coldstream and reminisced about fun times spent hiking and biking with Bob.
We will miss Bob’s company and think about him often on future cycling and hiking adventures. Rest in peace.
