Ride London – A special event to consider!

From one of our friends from the UK:

Wonder if you know about Ride London?  Dave and I did the Ride London 100 at the weekend- since the 2012 Olympics we have a 3 day cycling festival in London,  including pro World Tour road races and on the Sunday 24,000 people doing a 100 mile ride over closed roads right thru the city centre past all the major landmark buildings and out into the countryside, returning to finish in front of Buckingham Palace. It’s quite special, even if you live here.

If you or any of the Bees fancy it, first step is to enter the ballot which opens next week (August 7). You’ll hear if you have a place (you have about a 1 in 4 chance) in Feb 2018, and the ride date next year is July 29th so plenty of time to prepare. Entering the ballot commits you to nothing, you only make your decision when offered a place.

  1. This sounds intriguing. The only challenge for a couple is one might get in and not the other.
