… to let me know if you want to order a pair of arm warmers. Details see below. The order will go out on Wednesday July 10 morning so please email me by the end of day Tuesday, July 9!
Arm Warmer Orders – Need more to place the order!
In order to get these arm warmers shipped from the manufacturer and not lose any money, I need a few more orders (if I want to offer them for the same price). Please consider ordering some – see the information below.
Some of you had expressed interest in ordering more of the Kelowna Killer Beez arm warmers:

As per the picture and just like the previous order, they are uniquely designed with the previous bee mascot but neutral in colour to go with any jersey. They have been popular on cloudy days for warmth and on sunny days to keep the harmful rays away from the skin (lightweight fabric).

Again they will be very competitively priced at $15 per pair (no tax).
If you would like to order (more, or for the first time), please email me before July 10 with the number of pairs and sizes. Delivery estimate will be provided after the order is placed with the manufacturer.
This is a great gift for yourself, children who cycle, wives/husbands who run or friends who ski! There is no such thing as an “official Beez member” so anybody is welcome to order and wear them with pride.
Sizing: Small fits a small woman such as Pam. Medium fits Mel or Michael, and is preferred by Joyce and Biggi. Large fits Graham or Bob. If you need exact measurements, here are the narrow (wrist)/wide (arm) openings for each size:
- Small: 136mm/230mm
- Medium: 156mm/255mm
- Large: 176mm/280mm
Please email me at [email protected] to order. After the order arrives, I will bring them to the Sunday ride to distribute. Payment is preferred via Interac transfer at the time the order is placed (or in cash at delivery).

The First Annual Killer Beez Road Trip (FAKBRT) was a smashing success! Thanks to Mike and the other committees š for all the hard work. We saw breathtaking scenery, road many km’s in Washington’s Methow Valley and replenished with BBQ, beer, pizza and the outstanding breakfast at the Chewuch Inn. Besides our Kelowna crew we had “Guest Beez” from Alaska and Vancouver join us! Have a look at the pictures and put this on your calendar for next year!
Saturday May 18: Meet at Kelowna Cycle at 9am for a ride if the weather is good! If enough people are interested throughout the summer, we will make this a regular ride for Saturdays.
Sunday May 19: Regular ride now starts at 9am. If it’s rainy, come for coffee.

There was some talk about these three articles about cyclists & drivers, published by a local lawyer on Castanet. Have a read and comment if you like!

Wednesday Rides are starting this week š“š»
With enough daylight to allow cycling late afternoon, we are now starting one of our weekly favourites: the Wednesday ride aka JOYCE’s Ride! Until Joyce is fully recovered, we will have to keep this going without her but in the meantime, meet at 5pm in front of Kelowna Cycle on Pandosy Street.
The ride is usually 35km and will get us back to the coffee shop around 6:40pm or so! Social, fun ride, nobody gets dropped. It really is all about the coffee (tea, water etc.) after š
The route was scouted and has some slight modifications right now, due to ongoing construction in East Kelowna. See picture!
