Enjoy the Easter weekend!

Just a quick check-in to see how everybody is doing! Hope you’re staying safe and positive. We will get through this one too! It’s great to see everybody outside being responsible and distanced, and it seems to be working.

Remember to take care of your health by going outside – to replenish mind and body, and to avoid Vitamin D deficiency (which weakens the immune system)! Responsible/safe walking, cycling, etc. are all good to keep you healthy … whatever your own choice may be.

If you want to connect with 1 or 2 other Beez for an activity (socially distanced of course), feel free to reach out to them directly; email me if you’re missing contact information for a friend. There will be no group rides or hikes for now šŸ™ Also, please use the comments section below to let us know how you are doing, whether you need help with anything (please don’t hesitate to ask!) and what keeps you strong during this time.

  1. We’ve been biking Lakeshore, Bear Creek and Lake View Heights so far. Roads are great and the views are always stunning – never get tired of it. Hope to try East Kelowna soon. We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful place with so many hiking and cycling opportunities to enjoy. Park space per capita in the Okanagan for hiking is so plentiful here that social distancing is very doable. The weather is cooperating as well so this forced staycation has been pretty awesome. Helps to block out the news and reality of what is going on in the world even if for just a little while each day.

  2. Allā€™s good at our house, been getting out, Mtn. Biking with grand son, Also riding the cross bike. Staying on the west side.
Doing some hiking, being out in nature is really uplifting,
Catching some sun, charging the immune system, Itā€™s all good
Looking forward to the days we can gather again.
    Stay alert.

  3. Yes it’s definitely busy … while still leaving enough distance. Joyce rode Lakeshore this week as well …

  4. All is fine here too. We haven’t had the bikes out yet since we’re still skiing. But it might get too warm soon!
I see loads of bikes out so that’s great. And everybody is being very responsible. Enjoy the riding and hook up with a friend or two for at least some socially distanced socializing šŸ™‚

  5. You are awesome Biggi. So great to be back on the bike! And have the weather to support us. Hope you guys are well…. stay well! šŸ˜˜

  6. Finally, some nice riding weather and the roads are mostly clear of the winter sand and gravel. New favourite route is out to the end of Lakeshore and home again, a nice 30 km trip if I plan it right. Amazing number of like-minded riders, too many to count! And everyone is doing a good job of social distancing.
