Great day on the bike!

Sunday Ride April 26
What we do best: End a great ride over coffee!

Thanks to everyone who came out today to ride with us. I think we counted 33 riders as we were leaving … I hope every rider got the ride they wanted, and we would love to see you out again.

Just a reminder of the two rules we have for the Beez rides:

  1. No passing on the right. Ever.
  2. We do not drop anyone. Some delays may occur because of this but it is the safest way to ride as a group.

Looking forward to a summer of riding!

And don’t forget: Wednesday rides are starting this week! Meet at 5pm at Kelowna Cycle. Conversational 35km ride.

Wanna join Paul on a long ride?

I am planning to ride to Vancouver on the May long weekend: leaving Kelowna on Saturday, May 16, 1st night motel in Merrit, 2nd night motel in  Hope or Chilliwack. Anyone interested in accompanying me?

From our new friend …

Hi, Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for a great ride today. Was my first time riding with the group, and you were all such a great bunch to meet. Hope to see you again next week.
Thanks again!

Another option for the ladies …

As per Carmelle (please email her at carmelleguidi@hotmail.com if you have any questions):

ChainLine Cycle Women’s Rides

We are happy to announce that our weekly Tarmac Tune-Up women’s ride begins Monday, April 13th!
We’ll meet at ChainLine Cycle at 5:20pm, and will leave the shop by 5:30pm. Tarmac is a no-drop, aerobic, social ride. It’s free and open to everyone, so please join us each Monday!

Special Ride: Armstrong Friday April 3 – It’s ON!

Tom is inviting everybody to join our first “special ride”: We will be meeting at 9:30am in the Armstrong Memorial Park on Friday, April 3.

If the weather is too wet, we will make the decision to cancel by 7:30am the same morning, and a post will be published here on the blog to inform you of the decision. In that case, the ride will be rescheduled for Monday, April 6.

The route will be 75 km or more, if people are interested. The terrain is usually rolling hills and flats. Lunch will be at the Armstrong Anchor Inn following the ride.

Please carpool! Send a comment or email if you’re looking for a ride or can offer one ….

Update 7am: The ride is ON! See you in Armstrong. Bring an extra layer …

Mark your calendars …

Don’t miss out and register early for the 17th annual Okanagan Shuswap Century Ride. Details at www.oscr.ca

Registration opens at 6am on April 6, 2015.

14k, 56k and 100k ride options available, as always. Remember that OSCR will fill up very quickly!
